Rooted in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. BVFI nurtures and elevates nonfiction films that have the power to transform our mountains, water, life, dream, and ourselves.
Our Mission
The Bow Valley Film Institute (BVFI) is a community-based arts and connection non-profit dedicated to the transformative power of film.
Our mission is to empower a diverse range of local filmmakers, promote media literacy for all ages, and present meaningful stories that inspire and engage our communities.
Our Story
Beginning in 2022 as a modest local arts event in Canmore, AB, the Bow Valley Film Tour (BVFT) features a collection of stories from the Bow Valley.
These films celebrate the spirit of humanity, life, and dreams.
The BVFT’s mission is to share stories within our communities and support filmmakers in telling the stories that need to be told. It is an event dedicated to screening films that inspire, support, and connect people through media literacy and the power of storytelling.
A small tour with big heart.
